Currie Crescent Community Centre has many volunteers who share their time and expertise by running social programs and groups. All of the Centre-run groups are low cost or free, as we don’t want money to be a barrier to participation. There is something different on each weekday, so check out the groups below to see if anything sparks your interest.

MONDAY
Kingston Babies
Mondays 10:00am – 11.30am, McMaster Lounge
Kingston Babies is an inclusive social program that connects parents and carers of babies (aged 0-1yrs) who live in Canberra. Cost $10 per term.
Hatha yoga with Monica
Monday 6.00pm-7.00pm Waldock Hall
Join Monica for a relaxing focussed yoga session suitable for all levels. Requires: yoga mat, towel or blanket to cover yourself for relaxation and a cushion to sit on. If you have a yoga block and a belt they are handy too. Cost: $15 per class, or 4 classes for $50.

Kingston Kids Playgroup
Tuesdays 10.30am-12pm,
Waldock Hall
Playgroup is for children aged between 0-4yrs.
Each session includes, free play, and music/story time. Each session includes free play, morning tea, and music/story time. Cost is $2.
WEDNESDAY
Cooking Circles
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month
11am – 1:30pm, Waldock Hall
Cooking Circles is where everyone shares cooking ideas, recipes and enjoys eating meals together. Cost $5 per person. RSVP is essential.

FRIDAY
Crafty Fingers
Fridays 10.30am – 12.30pm, Waldock Hall
A craft and friendship group for a relaxed time to finish up the week. BYO craft. Registration $8 per person, per 10-week term
Youth Group
Fortnightly on Fridays, 7pm – 9:00pm
Social gatherings for youth of school years 7-12. Costs vary from $2-$10 based on activities.

Youth Discussion Night
