Centre Programs

Currie Crescent Community Centre has many volunteers who share their time and expertise by running social programs and groups. All of the Centre-run groups are low cost or free, as we don’t want money to be a barrier to participation. There is something different on each weekday, so check out the groups below to see if anything sparks your interest.

Kingston Babies
Mondays 9:30am – 12.00noon, McMaster Lounge

Kingston Babies is a friendly and relaxed setting for new (and new again) parents to gather, connect and chat about the joys and woes of parenting through that first year of life.

We know that babies don’t adhere to adult notions of time, so we don’t have a rigid start/end time, you can come along whenever suits you and Baby.

We meet every Monday from ~9.30am –12.00noon (or any time in between!) 

Hatha yoga with Monica
Monday 6.00pm-7.00pm Waldock Hall

Monday 6-7pm in the Waldock Hall, Kingston Baptist Church (Currie Crescent). Bring a yoga mat and a blanket or towel for savasana.

If you have props such as yoga blocks or a belt they are handy but not essential.

See you on the mat! 

  Cost: $15 per class, or 4 classes for $50.


Kingston Kids Playgroup
Tuesdays 10.30am-12pm,
Waldock Hall
Playgroup is for children aged between 0-4yrs. 
Each session includes, free play, and music/story time. Each session includes free play, morning tea, and music/story time. Cost is $2.


Cooking Circles
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month
11am – 1:30pm, Waldock Hall

Cooking Circles is where everyone shares cooking ideas, recipes and enjoys eating meals together.  Cost $5 per person.  RSVP is essential. Click here for more details.



Crafty Fingers
Fridays 10.30am – 12.00noon, Waldock Hall
A craft and friendship group for a relaxed time to finish up the week.  BYO craft. It’s free.

Youth Group
Fortnightly on Sundays, 10.00am – 11.00am
Social gatherings for youth of school years 7-12.
Occasional evening events.
